Yes, I know it's not a 3D Printer but it is very simular.
Originally I had planned to build a CNC router to do custom printed circuit boards. Then I found out the cost of the bits and how quickly they wore out. So, since I already had a couple laser modules, I decided to do an engraver instead.
The idea is to coat a blank pcb with black paint, use the laser to remove the paint where I don't want copper and then etch the board with ferric chloride. I've worked with the toner transfer method, which works, but the quality isn't all that great. I'm hoping this will do a much better job.
