Generac Guardian C6211 6211 Generator Controller Reverse Engineer Schematic Wiring Diagram

I have a Generac Guardian 04390-2 15KW (LP) Home Standby Generator. It is an older model with only status LEDs and no Internet connectivity or any way to monitor the system. It was having issues and not starting. It looked like a problem with the controller but replacing it didn't fix the issue. I f...

ESP32 PCNT example for Arduino IDE

I've started working on a controller replacement for my Generac automatic standby generator. One of the functions is monitoring the generator output frequency. PNCT seems to be the best way to go but I couldn't find a simple working example. After hours of beating my head against the wall I came up ...

Custom OBD II Breakout

I've been playing around with CAN-bus in my truck. I started out with installing an after market head unit. Getting it to work with the factory amp and steering wheel controls was a challenge. It works but I would like to add more functionality which means figuring out the OID's which, unfortunately...

Base Station

This is still in the early planning stages.

I will most likely be using a Raspberry Pi with a NRF24L01+PA+LNA Transceiver.

Possibly adding it to my APRS controller and transmitting the data to APRS and CWOP (Citizen Weather Observer Program).

Sensor data aggregation and transmitter

I will be using a Arduino Pro Mini and a NRF24L01+PA+LNA SPI Transceiver Module to read the sensors and transmit the data to the base.

Temperature / Humidity Sensor Upgrade

Here's the original Temperature / Humidity Sensor. Temp-Hum Sensor Original.jpg I replaced the original sensor with a BME/BME280 Temperature / Humidity / Barometric Pressure Sensor module with i2c interface. 510fqCnFP9L._AC_SL1001_.jpg I designed and 3D printed a mount for the new sensor. Temp-Hum S...

Re: Raspberry Pi to iCom IC-F121S interface

I just discovered that my APRS receiver had gone deaf. Possibly due to having the volume cranked to the max all the time, possibly from something else. I have a couple spare radios so on this one I soldered a jumper between the AFO pad and the speaker out (See attached image). It doesn't take much v...

Plex Media Server - fix media date added

I was working on my Plex Media Server and somehow the date added for all my media was reset to the current date. Most annoying as the Recently Added list isn't correct. Plex doesn't make this setting available in its UI and information on what, or how, to update is spotty at best. I have written a P...
